Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi We will pick you up from your Riad / hotel in Fes at 8:00 am, we will take the road to Midelt through the magnificient mountains and the cedar forest of the middle atlas ,passing by Ifrane ,a charming ski resort and Azrou which is an important craft center specialized in the work of cedar wood. We arrive in Midelt for lunch .In the afternoon we will be heading to Erfoud,then to the Erg Chebbi’s desert one of the largest areas of windblown sand dunes, where you will spend the night and have the breakfast.
After a large Moroccan breakfast , We will go around the Erg ChebbiDunes . After having a break and enjoying the Moroccan mint tea, we will visit the village of Khamlia, a small village in the Moroccan Sahara famous for its black-skinned inhabitants and their authentic music known as “Gnawa music”. The visit aims to enjoy this special traditional style of music . We visit the oasis of Merzouga, which preserves an old irrigation system, then we will continue the road towards Rissani to explore old Ksours and Kasbahs. After a local and typical lunch . Upon return to the hotel around 16:00, preparation for a camel trek in the golden Erg ChebbiDunes. You will settle in at your Berber biouvac and enjoy the Berber music, and spend a peaceful night under a nomadic tent made of camel hair.
After enjoying a quiet breakfast in the Sahara Desert, we will ride the camels back to the hotel to take shower, next departure to Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble ,before continuing the journey between the palm groves.Just after lunch drive to Toudra Gorge, before joining the Dades Valley where we will spend the night in a hotel.
after having a Moroccan breakfast, we will explore the gorge by foot , before we leave to Marrakech. We will pass by El Kelaa M’gouna and head towards to Dades valley, the Valley of Roses and the road of the thousand Kasbahs. We cross Ouarzazate, lunch at Ait Behaddou village which is famous for its UNESCO World Heritage. Then we cross the High Atlas via the Tizi-N-Ticha pass. Arrival in Marrakech in the evening.
